Home Invasion / Suspected Arson
On the morning of September 17,  2018, the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 2400 block of Westport Drive in the Westport home plat in Oshtemo Township regarding a home invasion that occurred in conjunction with a house fire.  The investigation is ongoing but arson is suspected.

Witnesses described a white male subject in the area around the time of the incident.  He is described as 35-50 years old and balding.  There is reason to believe that he may have been homeless and staying in the area.  He may have had a red Mongoose mountain bicycle in his possession.  Investigators are looking for this subject for questioning.

Anyone with any information regarding this incident or the above described subject is asked to contact the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office at 269-383-8748 or Silent Observer at 269-343-2100.  Tips can also be submitted online through this website or through the “P3Tips” app.
