Crash Turns Into Homicide Investigation
Kalamazoo, MI:
On March 23rd, 2024, at approximately 11:37 p.m., Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety officers responded to the 900 block of Jackson St regarding a report of a traffic crash. When PSOs arrived, they discovered that the driver was actually suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Life saving efforts were attempted, but the victim ultimately succumbed to his wounds and was pronounced deceased. The incident is being investigated as a homicide.
The victim is a 25-year-old male from Kalamazoo. His name is not being released at this time.

The victim in this incident has been identified as Bader Mohamed Farwana from Kalamazoo, MI. The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety would like to extend its sincerest condolences to the friends and family of Mr. Farwana.
